Taicang, China – July 2, 2025 – PerkinElmer officially inaugurated its expanded manufacturing and R&D facility in Taicang Suzhou, Jiangsu Province today. This milestone marks a significant advancement in the company’s “In China, For China – and Beyond” strategy, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Chinese market.

Situated in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta, the new state-of-the-art facility triples PerkinElmer’s production capacity in China. It integrates R&D staff, manufacturing, quality control, and logistics, and is equipped with advanced automation and digital systems to enhance operational efficiency and support sustainable development.

“Today is not just the launch of a new factory. It is part of wider effort to optimize our global production footprint for the benefit of our customers and marks a new chapter in PerkinElmer’s 47-year journey in China,” said Dirk Bontridder, CEO of PerkinElmer. “By deepening our roots in Taicang, we are better positioned to support Chinese customers with agility, innovation, and long-term commitment.”

Li Bing, newly appointed President of Greater China, added: “This facility will serve key Chinese industry sectors, fulfilling our mission to accelerate the science of our customers. We also plan to host quarterly ‘Factory Days’, which are open, interactive events designed to foster transparency and strengthen customer engagement.”

At our new site, we will also continue to focus on recruiting high-skilled talent in engineering and manufacturing.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by local government officials from Suzhou and Taicang, along with industry association leaders, customers, and media representatives. PerkinElmer showcased several instruments manufactured at the site, including its award winning QSight 500 LC/MS/MS System, as well as from its food solutions businesses, Perten, highlighting its innovation capabilities.
