PerkinElmer offers numerous food safety rapid test kits that detect antibiotics, mycotoxins, and histamine. Our range of lateral flow test strips give farmers, factory workers, and scientists the solutions they need to qualitatively and quantitatively confirm their finished product is safe for consumption or ready for further downstream processing.
Easy-to-Use Strip Tests for the Rapid Screening of Antibiotic Residues in Milk
The AuroFlow™ strip test screening kits are designed to quickly detect a broad range of antibiotics in raw, commingled cow's milk. Detecting limits at or below EU and CODEX Maximum Residue Limits (MRL), these rapid tests detect:
- 14 beta-lactam antibiotics,
- major tetracyclines,
- 17 major sulfonamides .
The combo kits allow simultaneous detection of different classes of antibiotic residues. The results can be interpreted visually or by use of the QuickSTAR™ Horizon™ Strip Reader. Validation reports are available upon request showing efficacy of the tests in both room temperature and cold milk.
Rapid Quantitative Tests for Mycotoxins
The AuroFlow AQ mycotoxin lateral flow panel provides rapid quantitative assays designed to detect:
- Total aflatoxin (B1, B2, G1 and G2)
- DON (Vomitoxin)
- Zearalenone
- Fumonisin
- Ochratoxin a
- T-2/HT-2
These rapid screening kits utilize an environmentally friendly water-based extraction method, and is compatible with commodities such as corn and wheat. Designed for rapid field or reference laboratory settings, the AuroFlow AQ mycotoxin panel brings accuracy and precision to any environment with USDA certifications on four different kits.
Rapid Detection for Histamine
The HistaStrip™ Test Kit is a convenient dipstick technology used for the rapid visual detection of histamine in seafood, fishmeal, milk, and fish sauce. The test strips can provide residue screening to detect unsafe levels of histamine in only 4 minutes without the use of organic solvents or heating steps. The HistaStrip can also give full quantitative results using the QuickSTAR Horizon Strip Reader, enabling the customer to determine exact levels of histamine in the sample and easily save data to a computer and quality assurance system.
